The Kerala Cricket Association is a society registered under the Travancore, Cochin, Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955 (Act XII/1955) Registration no. 468/88 having its Headquarters at Thycaud, Thiruvanathapuram. KCA is an affiliate of BCCI. The aims and objectives of the KCA is to promote, conduct and control cricket in the State. The development of infrastructure has been pivotal for the promotion and development of the game of cricket within the State of Kerala.

In view of this, Kerala Cricket Association is aiming to construct/develop cricket infrastructure in all districts in Kerala and hence decided to appoint an Architect/Architectural firm on contract basis for a period of one year for all infrastructure development of KCA projects.

Hence an Expression of Interest (EOI) with technical and financial proposal is invited herewith from reputed Architects/Architectural firms.

Objectives

The main objectives of appointing and functioning of the architects are mainly but not limited to:

  • Advising client on necessary surveys and investigations required for the designing of various project components.
  • Preparing detailed plan and designs of various project components.
  • Preparing detailed technical specifications.
  • Preparation of plan and site plan for getting approval from the competent authorities and other agencies as per prevailing Government Rules.
  • Project Management and supervision during the execution of work will be done by Kerala Cricket Association.
  • Assist the KCA’s Engineers and Consultant Engineer of KCA for executing the works through out.
  • Issue necessary detailed construction and architectural drawings to the concerned Engineers of KCA in time without delaying the progress of works.
  • Scope of Services

  • Advice KCA on preliminary surveys and investigations and prepare detailed Engineering designs for all project components which shall be done by KCA through competent Authorities.
  • Prepare detailed architectural drawings to suit the schematic architectural design approved by the Kerala Cricket Association
  • Co ordination of detailed structural designs and drawings for all structural members by consulting with the structural Engineer appointed by the KCA for preparing detailed Architectural Drawings and estimation.
  • Preparation of appropriate landscaping to the approved scheme.
  • Preparation of detailed design and drawings for all utilities such as water supply, sewer lines, drainage plan, electrical wiring and other allied activities, acoustics, air-conditioning ducts if required, telecom cables etc. with MEP consultants appointed by KCA.
  • Preparation of layout and estimates for interior furnishing.
  • Detailed Engineering Design: Once the conceptual plans and preliminary designs are approved by KCA, prepare detailed designs in accordance with sound engineering practice, construction drawings, cost estimates and associated contract documentation to include letter of invitation, conditions of contract, specifications and design reports pertaining to Civil, Architectural, Interior and Landscaping works in co ordination with Structural and MEP consultants appointed by KCA.
  • Preparation of drawings and documents for obtaining statutory approval from Town Planning, Local body and assist KCA for obtaining the same.
  • Eligibility

  • The Consultancy firm should have a lead Architect with minimum B.Arch qualification having membership in the Council of Architecture.
  • The Architectural firm should have at least 5years experience in providing architectural consultancy services for the construction of commercial building and building projects including parking, landscaping, plumbing and sanitary, and firefighting works. Experience in Cricket Stadium/Sports Stadium will be an added advantage.
  • The firm should have taken up planning, designing of at least three major projects costing not less than 2 Crores per project during the last 10 years. The total cost of projects executed in the last 10 years should not be less than 15 crore. Documentary proof of the projects completed have to be submitted which shall include:
  • A certificate from the Client for whom the work has been satisfactorily completed indicating brief details of the project, date of completion of the project. A copy of the letter of award/ agreement indicating the scope of the project for ongoing projects.
  • The Firm should ensure that they are eligible to compete in architectural design competitions as per the guidelines of Council of Architecture and should have a working office in Kerala. “Similar Projects” deems to understand of projects of public use for mass congregation like convention centers, marriage halls, institution hall, stadiums etc with a minimum capacity of not less than 1500 people.
  • The Firm should ensure that they are eligible to undertake the projects of public use for mass congregation like convention centers, marriage halls, institution hall, stadiums etc with a minimum capacity of not less than 1500 people.
  • Submission of Application:

  • Kerala Cricket Association may disqualify the applicants at any stage for the following reasons:
  • Non-fulfillment of above qualification conditions.
  • Incomplete / part information/ misinformation (without supporting proof)
  • Exerting external influences
  • Non- submission of MOU signed by the firm.
  • Late EOI applications.
  • The bid documents, detailed scope of works and terms and conditions of appointment of architects can be downloaded from the www.keralacricketassociation.com
  • Kerala Cricket Association reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the applications without assigning any reasons thereof.
  • The EOI in sealed cover along with all necessary documents duly numbered shall be sent to the undersigned through registered post or speed post only so as to reach on or before 12.00 pm on 10.12.2021. The price bid shall be quoted as percentage of the total approved estimate cost of the buildings.
  • The bids will be opened on the same day at 03.00 pm.
  • If 10.12.2021 happened to be a holiday, the tender will be opened on the next working day at the same time.
  • Evaluation

  • The evaluation and selection will be on a Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS).
