The Kerala Cricket Association (KCA), a member of the BCCI, has done a great job in improving and developing the game of cricket in the state. There have been many cricket personalities from KCA who served the game at the national level and among them, the legendary Col. Goda Varma Raja, definitely stands out. He was the President of KCA from the years 1950 to 1963. He was the first Keralite to become an Office bearer in BCCI, when he served as Vice president of BCCI. He served the Asian Cricket council as Treasurer and Secretary, as well. The late SV Pandit, who was the President of Travancore Cricket association until his untimely demise, helped the Kerala Cricket Association considerably, by way of financial assistance.
At present, Adv. T.R. Balakrishnan is the President of Kerala Cricket Association; Mr. T.C. Mathew bears the responsibilities of the Hon. Secretary.

He has made a lot of waves in the international cricket arena in recent times and is regarded as one of the spearheads in the Indian pace bowling department. However, the first Kerala player to represent India in the Test cricket was Tinu Yohannan, who played for the country with distinction.
