EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR HEAD COACH FOR KCA UNDER-19 AND UNDER-23 WOMEN’S TEAMS AS PRESCRIBED BY BCCI FOR DOMESTIC TOURNAMENT FOR YEAR 2025-26
1. Job Details:
Position Title: Head Coach – Kerala Under-19 & Under-23 Women’s Team
Role Based: Kerala
Report To: Hon. Secretary, Kerala Cricket Association
2. Job Dimensions:
| Remuneration: Negotiable and will be commensurate with experience. | |
| Direct of Person to be Managed/Supervised: 30 – 40 Nos |
3. Role/Purpose:
| Head Coach Women’s Team will be responsible for Coaching the Kerala Under-19 & Under-23 Women’s Teams. |
4. Assignment Description:
a) To take up the role of Head Coach of the Kerala Under-19 & Under-23 Women’s Teams and carry out various assignments as per the directions of KCA. Will be responsible for developing Kerala Team into a more successful team which delivers outstanding winning performance with overall responsibility of performance and management of the team.
b) Shall not only be a coach but also a guide and mentor to the players.
c) Shall be involved in pre-competition preparations, discussions on game plans, match strategies etc., to ensure optimum performance of the team.
d) Establish right work ethics, build a high a performance team, establish team cohesion, build an emotionally intelligent team, set the right norms to ensure high commitment / integrity and bring in effective strategies to achieve peak performance.
e) Shall guide /supervises the support team consisting other Coaches, Trainer and the team Physio.
f) Shall take up coaching assignments for KCA High performance centre as and when requested by KCA.
5. Operating Environment:
• Expected to be available to travel, sometimes for extended periods during BCCI matches.
• Must be willing to meet work expectations and deadlines.
6. Decision Making:
High – Accountable for Under-19 & Under-23 Women’s Teams performance.
7. Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
a. Preferable qualification: Should have played Test Matches, ODI’s or First Class or List A cricket.
OR
b. Should have BCCI Level 3 certification or equivalent or minimum NCA Level ‘B’ certified coach or a similar certification from a reputed organization/Institute.
c. Should have the experience of coaching any state teams as Head Coach.
d. A thorough understanding of the game or playing/coaching experience at the highest level.
e. Experience of leading a multi-cultural team.
f. Should have retired from competitive cricket at least 3 years before (playing for office / institution is allowed subject to such participation is not for any BCCI/State Association conducted tournament).
g. Candidate should possess Effective communication & leadership skills, Computer literate (user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Willingness to work for long hours including weekends / holiday and for a long duration.
8. Competencies:

• Teamwork – Work collaboratively with others to achieve team objectives.
• Problem Solving – Ability to present solutions and make the best decision under pressure.
• Communication – Excellent written and oral communication in English language including report writing skills.
9. Tenure of Assignment:
The anticipated duration of this assignment shall depend on the KCA pre-season camps, BCCI game calendar and also on the team’s performances. This shall normally be between June to March and the engagements shall be on an on-call basis as follows.
The tenure of the agreement shall be extended for further periods of time on mutual consent and the terms and conditions of the agreement reviewed during each extension.
10. Termination of Assignment:
This assignment shall be terminated by either party at any time, by giving a one month notice to the other party, without assigning any reasons thereof.
