The retirement of M S Dhoni has no doubt taken the cricket world by surprise including thousands of MSD fans in the small state of kerala. He was a role model for the aspiring cricketers and his sportsmanship was relished by the cricket fraternity in the state. One of the finest finishers of the game and an outstanding wicket keeper, he has left an unprecedented stamp in the Indian cricket history. M S Dhoni the two time world cup winning former captain by his retirement brings an end to an era of exceptional leadership befitting of a legend. Kerala Cricket Association earnestly wishes him all the best in all his future endeavors.When M S Dhoni inaugurated the “Sachin Tendulkar Cricket Pavilion” at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Cricket Stadium ,on Nov 20th – 2013, Kochi he won a special place close the heart of the cricket followers of Kerala. An astute leader who led the Indian team from the front to win T20 World Cup in 2007, 2011 world cup, and 2013 Champions trophy, besides taking India to No.1 in test ranking in 2009. Kerala Cricket Association on behalf of thousands of cricketers across state the wishes MS Dhoni all the best and prays for his continued support for strengthening the India cricket in times to come.Following MS Dhoni, the retirement of Suresh Raina also came as a surprise. M S Dhoni retires as one of India’s finest cricket captains and also the one of sports most iconic players. His contribution to India cricket has been immense. He is the only Captain to win all three important ICC trophies – the World cup, World twenty-20 and the Champions trophy. An outstanding captain, an inspiring leader , hard hitting batsman and a fine wicket keeper – M S Dhoni will go down as one of the finest cricketer to have played the game for India. Through his retirement, Indian Cricket will miss a master strategist, a hard hitting batsman and a lightning stumper.
