#Match2
AGORC Thiruvananthapuram easily won their match against Team Alleppey by 74 runs and progressed to what is virtually a qualifying match for Phase 2 in the 39th Coromandel Cement Elite Cricket Tournament at Rajagiri College Ground, Kakkanad.

Batting first, AGORC ran up a mighty 167/5 in their stipulated overs(reduced to 23 overs a side due to rain delays) after starting somewhat sedately. Vysakh Chandran made a stroke filled unbeaten 56 (32 balls, 4×6, 3×4) aided by a late flourish by Manu Krishnan (27 runs, 20 balls, 1×6, 3×4). U/16 state pacer SV Sajeesh bowled well to the star-studded AGORC to return 2-15 from 4 overs; it is a pleasure to see a youngster stepping up to the big stage.

Team Alleppey’s chase never took off and despite Nihul Lal’s 37 (25balls, 3×6, 3×4), they fell short and were bowled out for 93 in 17.3 overs. KR Sreejith (3-25), Akhil (3-19) and Vysakh Chandran (2-5) bowled well for AGORC.

AGORC will face Athreya Ulbhav CC tomorrow morning for a place in Phase 2.
